Foodbank: Fresh Veg funded through PAP

Most of the people referred to the Storehouse Foodbank at West Wilts Vineyard Church (Trowbridge, Wiltshire) only expect to get a few tins and packets of dried food. They are amazed and delighted to receive a pack of fresh veg, funded through our Fresh Veg for Foodbanks project. For those experiencing financial difficulties, receiving fresh produce positively contributes to physical and mental wellbeing, removing anxiety over being able to afford nutritious meals, and enabling people to better budget on other expenses.

The Storehouse reports that: providing people with good food for a period of time gives individuals and families important short term support while they access services to get their financial difficulties resolved families are relieved that they can give their children cheaper, better and healthier meals than they expected even though they are going through a tough time

Good morning church family,
As you all know, it has been an emotional few weeks for us all with the sad loss of both Val Huxley and Suart Farrimond. The blessing is that when we lose friends and family that have a strong faith, we can find comfort and peace in knowing that they knew where they were going and we know they are in heaven. Both Val and Stu had charities that were close to their hearts and one of those charities was Storehouse; their final blessing to us was to include us for donations at their funerals. They have left a hole in our church and our hearts but we will always be grateful for the love and blessings they shared with us.

On a more cheerful note, we are having a wonderful Thai Fusion Evening on Friday 11th July to raise much needed funds for the Storehouse. This will be an amazing evening, ambient music, great food, beautiful lighting and stunning decor! Please get your tickets before they sell out click here

Many blessings, Jill
