The Re:Fresh project began in 2015 in direct response to the growing need for personal hygiene products identified within local schools, alongside the increasing global awareness of period poverty highlighted by media outlets. We decided to create discreet hygiene bags. The bags are plain and inconspicuous, white for feminine items and black for masculine items. Each bag contains a toothbrush, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, a flannel and a hairbrush. The feminine bags also contain sanitary towels.
The project has been a great success, and we are currently supply sixteen schools across West Wiltshire, making a signficant difference in the lives of young people.
Patricia and Teresa have been overseeing this project and they are now taking a step back and Donna and CerysAnne will be helping more on this project, we welcome you both.
