Volunteer Agreement (Adults)
Thank you for offering to volunteer your time, energy and skills to WWV. We really value our volunteers and we are so delighted that you have chosen to join our team. As a church we want people to use their gifts and skills to encourage and help all involved grow and flourish! Because of this we want to work in a way that is respectful and life enhancing for everyone. Therefore:
As a church we will do all we can to ensure that:
You are respected as an important part of our community.
You are given training and support so that you know what you are doing when and in a safe manner.
That you will have a clear understanding as to who will support you and who you will be accountable to.
That you will be treated fairly and respectfully.
That we will keep your personal data and information confidential.
That adequate insurance cover is provided when you are volunteering within the teams and guidelines agreed.
As a volunteer we ask that you are happy to agree to:
Do the tasks that are required of you as well as you can.
That you will treat all those you encounter with kindness and respect.
Follow all policies and instructions used by WWV.
Complete any training required.
Accept support and guidance needed for your role.
Let your team leader know of any circumstances that may affect what you are able to do, so that support can be offered where possible.
Let the team leaders know with advance warning if you are unable to volunteer.
That you will take responsibility to swap with another team member to cover your session.
Agree to serve one academic year where possible.
Where possible give a month's notice if you step out of the team so we can find a replacement for your role.
Respect the confidentiality of people that you work with except in cases of harm.
