Abiding In Jesus

Being with Jesus - the path to becoming

This teaching follows “A Way Of Life With Jesus” which can be found below:

I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit ...
— Jesus: John 15:5
... the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
— Paul: Galatian 5:22

Being with Jesus Every Season of Your Soul

"Abide in me," Jesus tells us, "and you will bear much fruit." Yet fruit has a seasonal rhythm, and each season is so crucial to its growth. So how can we draw on this powerful imagery to understand more about abiding in Jesus and the spiritual life! Drawing on the writings of Mark Buchanan - Spiritual Rhythm: Being with Jesus Every Season of Your Soul, we consider the seasonal nature of the soul - what winter, spring, summer, and autumn may feel like, and how we can embrace and steward each season so that we may grow and flourish.

Mark Buchanan is a pastor, author, and Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Ambrose University. His books include "God Walk: Moving at the Speed of Your Soul." He regularly contributes to the Leadership Journal and Christianity Today. Discover more about Mark Buchanan at www.markbuchanan.net
